Granny Chic’ - what’s old is new again.

A lack of excitement in mass design, as well as people wanting to go back to home comforts is proving a hit this year.

Handmade and handcrafted ‘niche’ products are in as we strive to stand out and be individual.

Nostalgia is popular and as we’re living ‘in’ a lot more, we’re wanting to be surrounded by the familiar.

‘Updated Retro’ is part of this trend and continues with a mix and match approach, blended with today’s accessories.

So look forward to romantic shaped furniture, wallpaper, lace, wicker, needlepoint and crochet – they’re all back - but with a twist, this time they’re reinvented or updated with modern materials, to make them bold and fun.

The hippest designers are veering away from cold, hard modernism and embracing warm, comfortable designs inspired by granny.
