black and white
Black and white continues this year as one of the hottest, and most classic colour combinations. It’s high contrast appeal sees it continuing to be used for furniture, ceramics and tableware.
Crystal, chandeliers, and pendant lighting will continue to be big sellers.
Printed textiles and papers are both modern and vintage inspired, with patterns varying from bold stripes to rococo flourishes.
Textural flocked wallpapers and cut velvets are also popular and add another dimension to this cool colour scheme.
Gothic style continues with black glass and diamond inspired shapes, but the longer term appeal of black and white as a combination will start to diminish as we seek less contrast. Instead, black will continue to be used but alongside softer greys in place of white.
