Office Trends
The strong trend developing for the home office, is to not make it look like an office at all, but instead coordinate it as much with the rest of the home making it a comfortable, inspiring place to work.
furniture
Designers are moving away from fitted furniture and items which look too corporate and instead are using tables, chairs and shelving which could be used to make a strong design statement anywhere in the home
Desk lamps to have are those which could be used in the bedroom or lounge room and no longer resemble functional 'office' styles
Popular wall colours for the home office this year include:
Deep slate blue, chocolate brown or black for creating a rich 'den' mood
Taupe, violet grey or blush pink for something a little more delicate but not too sweet – to these, add plenty of accents in crisp white and shiny silver
Pure 'art gallery' white, light turquoise or apple green – add a dash of magenta with accents for fresh inspiration
Art and framed photographs are popular grouped together on shelves above a work area
Storage ideas include smart fabric covered boxes, lidded baskets and stacked vintage suitcases and tins
