Poolside Chic

Having a pool means friends often drop by for a swim, so be ready by having a pile of fluffy 'resort' towels on hand. Of course you can buy the usual brights, but why not add your own twist to plain whites with simple bands of colour instead? This look is seriously smart and very affordable.

You will need:

White bath towels – preferably with a textured band
Navy and red grosgrain ribbon (see supplier notes)
Matching cotton thread
Sewing machine (optional – you can hand sew these)

How to:

1. Pin the ribbon to the band of the towel, fold the ends under and stitch in place down either side of the ribbon

2. Repeat step 1. with the second colour and your towel is done!
