Paper Table Lanterns

Turn your left-over or gathered Christmas cards into festive hurricane lanterns for tea-light candles.

You will need:

Christmas cards
Sharp bladed knife
Double sided tape
Pencil
Glass jars
Tea light candles

How to:

1. Place the candles into small glass jars - baby food jars are ideal

2. Cut and join strips of cards together with double sided tape to form a 'sleeve. Before securing the ends together, trace festive patterns onto the backs of each panel then cut out with a sharp bladed knife

3. Cover each opening with a piece of tracing paper held in place with double sided tape. Secure the ends of the sleeve with double sided tape before placing the lantern over the jar
