Update plain bath towels and create your own ‘boutique’ look with this clever idea.

It really is a cinch, all you need is a strip of your favourite braid as well as a sewing machine.  And if you don't have one of these, a needle and thread will work just as well.

Make up a set of towels in your favorite colours, give some as wedding gifts or  personalise a whole pile for each member of your family.

You will need:

• towels with plain bands
• decorative braid or ribbon
• sewing machine or needle and thread
• pins

How to:

Lay the braid across the plain band of the towel and pin in place. Attach using a sewing machine or needle and using thread in colour matching the braid or the towel.
