Sweet Hearts

Toast and jam is such a sweet treat and what better way to serve it on Valentine's Day than like this.

You can easily make shapes from slices of soft bread using cookie cutters, perfect for serving at breakfast or simply with butter at a romantic supper with soup!

How to:

1. You will need a heart shaped cookie cutter a little smaller than the size of the bread. These can be found in kitchenware shops but if you can't find one of these, print and cut out the heart shaped template and use a sharp knife instead.

2. Press the cookie cutter into soft bread, one slice at a time and remove the 'hearts'. Pop them into the toaster, and when they're done, spread them with soft, creamy butter & fruit jam.
