shining stars

These stars are easy to make, all you need are a few basic supplies and of course lots of glitter!

You will need:
Cardboard star templates: click here to download the PDF template 
Stick glue and craft glue
Paintbrush
Glitter
Needle and thread

To make:

1. Print the star template (see above) and enlarge or reduce to the desired sizes. Transfer the star designs on to cardboard, you will need three per decoration. Cut out carefully using scissors

2. Fold the stars in half then using stick glue, coat the backs of each – be generous with the glue, especially down the star points

3. With the right sides facing out, line up the folded lines and press all three together to form a three sided star

4. Sew a loop in the top for hanging the decoration then coat all three sides with craft glue

5.Sprinkle over plenty of glitter, shake off the excess and hang to dry

TIP: Save glitter and mess by decorating the stars on a paper plate. When you finish you can fold the plate in half and pour the excess glitter back into the jar
